My chiliplantor that I winter in the basement of a temp of about. 18 degrees are doing just fine. I cut them down when all fruit was harvested because they would take up less space. I did not find any little green bugs yet so I hope I won't have that problem in winter.
The plants sets new small shot and and is extremely green and fine so that fluorescent lighting with color code 840 is one of the best options in terms of additional lighting at the overwintering and also plant breeding, it is no doubt.
Now it's not just the lighting which is important for wintering, but it may also give the plants water and nutrition in relation to light and heat and, of course, pamper them every day.
